Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Area Advertising (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to ask us to delete it. It applies to areaadvertising.com and the printing, embroidery, signage, awards, engraving, and promotional-product services we provide through it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact & order details: name, email, phone, company name, billing and shipping addresses, and the size/quantity/color details of items you request.
  • Artwork files: logos, designs, and reference images you upload through our quote and order forms.
  • Account credentials: for customers signing in via magic-link email, we store your email address to authenticate you. We do not store passwords; sign-in is link-based.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URLs, collected automatically when you visit the site.
  • Cookies & similar technologies: strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and site operation, plus analytics and advertising cookies as described in Section 4.

Payment card information is never stored on our servers. When you pay an invoice, payment is processed by our order-management provider (Printavo) and their payment processor. We only see the confirmation that a payment cleared.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Produce, ship, and follow up on the products you order.
  • Send you order updates, invoices, and customer-service messages.
  • Send marketing emails to people who have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time from any marketing email).
  • Measure how our website is performing and where visitors come from.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
  • Meet legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

3. Service Providers We Share Data With

We don’t sell your personal information. We do share the minimum amount needed with these vendors so we can run the business:

  • Printavo: order management, quote and invoice generation, payment processing.
  • InkSoft: apparel product catalog.
  • Cloudflare R2: secure storage of artwork files you upload (servers in the United States).
  • Resend: transactional email delivery (order confirmations, magic-link sign-in, marketing if you’ve opted in).
  • Sanity: staff allowlist and editable site content.
  • Railway: application hosting (servers in the United States).
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram): advertising and attribution. See Section 4.
  • Google Analytics 4: anonymized site analytics (which pages are visited, where visitors come from). IPs are anonymized by Google and we never tie analytics data to your order records. See Section 4.
  • Anthropic: powers our website chat assistant if you choose to use it. We don’t pass your account or order details into chat; only the messages you type.

We may also disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, government request) or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Area Advertising, our customers, or others.

4. Cookies, Pixels, & Tracking

We use three categories of cookies and tracking pixels:

  • Strictly necessary: sign-in cookies and CSRF protection. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
  • Performance & analytics: anonymized data about which pages are visited and how visitors find us, via Google Analytics 4. IP addresses are anonymized by Google before collection. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.
  • Advertising: the Meta Pixel tracks site visits and quote submissions to measure ad performance and show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can opt out of Meta’s ad targeting at facebook.com/adpreferences.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not function properly without them.

5. Data Retention

We retain order records and customer information for as long as needed to provide our services, handle re-orders, comply with tax and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Artwork files are kept indefinitely so we can re-run an order without you having to re-upload. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information:

  • HTTPS encryption on every page and API call.
  • Data encrypted at rest in our hosting (Railway) and storage (Cloudflare R2) providers.
  • Magic-link authentication for customer accounts, so there are no passwords to leak.
  • Role-based access control for staff; access is scoped to the minimum a role needs.
  • Rate limiting and abuse protection on every public endpoint.

For more detail, see our public security overview. Security researchers can report issues via security.txt.

No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know what data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction of inaccurate data we hold.
  • Right to deletion of your personal information, subject to limited exceptions (e.g. tax records we’re legally required to keep).
  • Right to opt out of marketing emails. Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us directly.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We won’t treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, visit our data request page or email [email protected] with the subject “Data Request.” We respond to verified requests within 45 days.

California residents: this section also covers your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, except as described in Section 4 (Meta Pixel). You may opt out of that on Meta’s preferences page.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or applicable laws change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. For material changes, we’ll give notice through the site or via email if we have your address.
